The Federația Română de Fotbal (FRF) have released a new visual identity via a new crest and unveiled the 2018/19 Romania home and away kits from technical partner Joma Sport.
Modeled by Tricolorii (The Tricolours) Under-19 players Andrei Vlad, Andrei Sîntean and Andrei Trusescu for their launch, the new shirts use a previous unseen, bespoke design from Joma.
The Romania 2018/19 home kit’s design is based on the colors of the Romanian flag and the distinctive signs of its history. The new FRF shield appears on the left breast and is applied to give it a 3D effect. This crest include symbols from all regions of the country and symbolizes the unity of Romanians.
The Romania Eagle is embossed on the front of the jersey as a further symbol of the connection between the team and the country.
The red and blue of the Romania flag run down the kit’s left side in the form of vertical stripes. The colors also trim the jersey’s v-neck collar. “România” is printed on the outside upper back while “Împreună suntem fotbal” (“We are together football”) is printed on the inside of the collar.
The Romania 2018/19 away kit maintains tradition with a red base that is detailed in yellow. It uses the same Joma design as the primary shirt. A purple goalkeeper uniform was also on show at the launch event in Bucharest.
