adidas Originals today dropped the Manchester United Ninety-Two shoe. The red casual sneakers celebrate the accomplishments of Red Devils that began that year with the emergence of the famous Class of 1992 that included now club legends David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes. The club finished the 1992-93 season with their first Premier League title.
With only 1,992 pairs available, each Manchester United adidas Originals Ninety-Two will be individually numbered 1 – 1992, making every pair unique. The shoe has an upper using material linking back to the original home shirt worn in that year, and the insole also links to the iconic era, with a printed pattern taken from the away jersey famously worn by the club from 1990 to 1992.
The Manchester United crest and adidas Originals Trefoil logo are printed on the rear of the insole. The golden lettering of “Ninety – Two” is printed on the outside of the shoe and beneath the adidas logo on the tongue.
