One of the surprises of Spain’s La Liga last season thanks to their top ten finish in the first season back in the league in a decade, Deportivo Alavés kick off their season at Leganes on August 18th.
The Basque club has signed a kit deal with Kelme that will see them outfitted by Elche-based firm for the next four years. Their 2017/18 match range includes three shirts with design inspirations taken from the club’s history and the city of Alavés.
The Deportivo Alavés 2017/18 Kelme home kit features the team’s traditional blue and white stripes. It has a modern y-neck collar with black detailing at its back. The stripes on the shirt are thicker this year and based on the Alavés jerseys of the 1990s.
The Deportivo Alavés 17/18 away shirt carries a modern feel with a black base and a white blue sash made upper of a series of lines on its front. The Alavés 2017/18 Kelme third jersey is white with a red X-shape on its front. The design is intended to emulate the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz’s flag.
“Lurralde baten nortasuna, hiri baten harrotasuna” (The identity of a territory, the pride of a city) is printed on the inside collar of all three kits.
