New Balance has completed the unveiling of FC Porto’s 2017/18 match range with the reveal of their new away kit. The shirt has been launched as part of the ‘Joga Sem Fronteiras’ or ‘Play without Boundaries’ campaign ahead of the team’s 17/18 Portuguese Primeira Liga, UEFA Champions League and Taça de Portugal seasons.
All three of the Dragões (Dragons) new jerseys will be available at World Soccer Shop, Lovell Soccer, Pro:Direct Soccer, Subside Sports, Kitbag and UK Soccer Shop.
The 2017/18 FC Porto away kit is dominated by a striking Flame orange colour scheme that has been a key design feature in FC Porto away kits from previous years.
The bright and clean design is sure to stand out as FC Porto take on clubs both in Portugal and around Europe in the new season. The kit includes a white cross over rib v neck collar and white detail mock vents to the underarm. A white FC Porto prist weld crest and NB sponsor logo feature on the chest.
General Manager of New Balance Football, Richard Wright said: “The design team has done a great job in creating a kit that will capture people’s attention both on and of the pitch.
This year’s campaign line is all about “Play without Boundaries” and this applies to our kit designs as much as it does to the players. As well as being visually striking, the team has ensured that the kit will allow the players to perform at the very highest level and maintain the standards of this historic club.”
The FC Porto 2017/19 New Balance away kit is completed with orange shorts and socks, with Flame Orange crest and sponsor logo. Zonal cushioning integrated within the socks ankle and Achilles areas offers added support. The foot bed has been developed with polypropylene to alleviate excess moisture when the foot makes contact with the boot.
The FC Porto’s new alternate goalkeeper kit has been engineered in line with the outfield players’ jerseys sporting a mock vent and back body map mesh system to compliment the outfield kit aesthetic. The deep UV Blue design with white colour crest, white sponsor and NB branding has a sleek look, completed by the tonal three colour sleeve pattern.
FC Porto player Ivan Marcano said; “For the players, the way a kit performs on match day is just as important as the way it looks. With such a colourful design and comfort, I am really looking forward to playing in the kit next season and bringing success for my team and to the fans.”
