AFC Ajax will don their newly launched 2017/18 adidas home kit when they meet Manchester United in the final of this season’s UEFA Europa League on Wednesday.
The new home shirt inspired home kit worn by the Ajax team of the early 1970s that dominated both the Eredivise and KNVB Cup. The team also won three European Cups (the predecessor to the UEFA Champions League) from 1971 to 1973. It has a distinctive round, white collar with subtle silver stripes on its flanks.
AFC Ajax’ famous red vertical block runs down the jersey’s center. Three Saint Andrew’s Crosses (from the city of Amsterdam coat of arms) are printed on the inside neckline. White shorts and socks with red detailing accompany the kit.
