São Paulo FC x Chapecoense Tribute Jersey

Brazilian giants São Paulo Futebol Clube will wear a special edition kit in tribute of Chapecoense when they meet Santa Cruz in the final round of the Brasileirão on Saturday.

The simple, round necked black shirt will bear the shields of both Sao Paulo and Chapecoense. The player names and numbers and other text on the jersey will be in Chape’s green. A patch in honor of the 71 victims last week’s plane crash in Colombia that killed most of Chapecoense’s first team and staff is printed on the kit’s right sleeve while a black and white memorial version of ACF’s crest appear on the left sleeve. Each São Paulo FC player will have both his name and that of one of Chapecoense’s deceased players on the back of the shirt.

São Paulo shirt sponsors Prevent Senior, Corr Plastik, Fiap, Joli, Poty and Tim have agreed to not include their logos in the tribute kit to ensure that it remains sponsorless. The only logo from SPFC’s technical sponsor Under Armour on the jersey is at the bottom of player numbers.

The São Paulo FC Chapecoense Tribute jersey is matched with black short and socks. The club’s goalkeeper will wear a white version of the kit with identical detailing as the outfield player shirt in green.
