Drawn with Real Madrid, Sporting Portugal and Legia Warsaw in the group stage of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League today, Borussia Dortmund have released a PUMA home kit for the competition.
In the traditional yellow with black detailing of eight-time German Bundesliga champions, the BVB 16/17 UEFA Champions League home kit follows the club’s recent trend of using simple designs for their European shirts than for their domestic primary jerseys.
Also called the Borussia Dortmund 16/17 international kit the shirt is inspired by the jersey worn by the team when they beat JUventus to lift the 1996/97 Champions League title.
The shirt has a rounded collar with a split opening at its front. Its black accenting on its front and back shoulders and waistline include a carbon fiber effect. “BVB” is printed on its signoff area while “DORTMUND” is emblazoned across its lower back.
