Among South Africa’s most popular teams, Orland Pirates Football Club today revealed their 2016/17 adidas home and away jerseys.
The Pirates 16/17 home kit is in the classic black of the Soweto-based club with a classy light gray Mandarin collar above a two button placket. The shirt’s adidas shoulder stripes and logo are also in light gray.
“We worked with Orlando Pirates to develop what we believe is a stylish jersey that is appealing to the fans and further entrenches a strong connection with the club,” said adidas South Africa Head of football, Adrian De Souza.
Orlando Pirates will depart from the alternate red worn over the past few seasons in favor of a mainly white 16/17 away kit. The v-neck jersey does include the Pirates “Power Red” on it via a wide chest stripes. The rest of the detailing on the kit is black.
The Bucs will wear their 2016/17 home kit for the first time on Wednesday, 24 August 2016 when they begin their Premier Soccer League season against Golden Arrows at Orlando Stadium.
