Chivas de Guadalajara have switched technical partners to PUMA following a five year run wearing adidas gear.
As they prepare for the Apertura 2016 season, the eleven-time Mexican Primera División unveiled their 2016/17 home and away kits from German firm last week. Both will be on sale at the World Soccer Shop Liga MX store.
The Chivas 2016/17 home jersey is in the famous red and white stripes of the club. The sleeves and standing collar on shirt shirt are in the dark blue that is part of the team’s crest and matches the accompanying shorts and socks. A block of red is present on most of the back to allow for easy visibility of player names and numbers. The PUMA design of the shirt is the same one used for the Arsenal FC 15/16 home kit.
Chivas will wear a mainly white alternate jersey is predominantly white with a sash made of of navy blue and red bands running along its front. It has a v-neck and is detailed in dark blue on its shoulders, sleeve cuffs and waistline.
Chivas de Guadalajara will debut their 2016/17 PUMA home kit when they host Veracruz at their Estadio Chivas on Sunday.
