Palmeiras 2016/17 adidas Away Kit

Campeonato Brasileiro Série A title contenders Palmeiras today unveiled their 2016/17 away kit from adidas Brasil.

The new Verdão (Big Green) alternate shirt is mainly white with green pinstripes on its front representing the pulse of their estimated 17 million fans. Its back is all white as is its rounded collar and sleeves.

The text “Meu coração bate por você Palmeiras” (My heart beats for you Palmeiras) is printed on the inside neckline in another ode to the club’s fans. Red and green as used on the jerseys sleeve cuffs.

The colors are often used as accents on Palmeiras’ kits in recognition of its roots in São Paulo’s Italian community in the early 1900s.

Palmeiras will debut their 2016/17 adidas away kit when they meet Santa Cruz in league action on June 18 at Allianz Parque.
