Ghana qualified for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations with a comfortable 2-0 win over Mauritius on Sunday.
Though not worn for the match, the Black Stars trained for the meeting in their PUMA 2016 home kit. Like the new primary jerseys for fellow African powers Cameroon and Ivory Coast, the shirt uses PUMA’s new evoKNIT moisture and temperature regulation fabric. It uses the same slimfit crewneck design as other new PUMA federation kits.
Received with mixed emotions by the team’s fans, the Ghana 2016 home shirt is in the usual white of the former World Cup quarter-finalists. Its sleeves and shoulders and in black while its collar is yellow. White shorts and socks complete the new uniform.
