Vélez Sarsfield 2016 Umbro Third Kit

Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield today unveiled their 2016 third kit from Umbro Argentina.

Called “La Tercera Equipación Tricolor” (the Tricolor third kit), the latest Vélez change shirt marks the 100th Anniversary of the Liniers, Buenos Aires team wearing jerseys bearing the colors of the Italian national flag. The tradition is inspired by the roots of “El Fortín” (The Fort) in Argentina’s Italian community of the early twentieth century.

Vélez Sársfield are expected to debut their 2016 Umbro third kit when they host Independiente at the Estadio José Amalfitani on Sunday.
