The Football Association of Finland (Suomen Palloliitto) have launched the 2016/17 home and away kits for the Finnish national football teams.
Revealed without much fanfare, the new uniforms are the second set of strips provided by technical partner Nike for the Finns. Both are now on sale at UK Soccer Shop.
The new kits are in the traditional home white and away blue of Finland soccer and use a new modern v-neck design from Nike. Like all of Nike’s 2016 jerseys, they feature stripes running down their sides that expand to product increased ventilation when players are in motion.
The text “SUOMI” (the Finnish name for the Scandinavian country) is printed on the outside back collars of both shirts.
The Finland men’s senior national team debut their 2016/17 Nike away kit in last week’s 5-0 loss to UEFA EURO 2016 qualifiers Poland in Wroclaw.
Currently ranked 46th in the world by FIFA, Finland have never qualified for any major competition apart from the Olympic Games. They missed out on a playoff spot for EURO 2016 by four points.
