2015/16 Kits

Galway United FC 2016 Uhlsport Home and Away Kits

Galway United Football Club have unveiled their 2016 home and away kits from Uhlsport.

Designed by Galway United’s graphic designer Morgan O’Brien (no known relation to USA midfielder Morgan Brian), The Tribesmen 2016 kits use a classic football shirt look featuring a polo collar and v-neck.

They are inspired by the kit worn by the original Galway United defeated Shamrock Rovers to win the 1991 FAI Cup at Lansdowne Road.

The main launch imagery of the new home shirt shows current Galway United captain Ryan Connolly flanked by 1991 squad members Peter Carpenter and Johnny Glynn (the scorer of the FAI Cup winner goal). Connolly dons the 2016 kit while Carpenter and Glynn the still popular 1991 home uniform.

The home kit is in Galway’s customary claret with sky blue detailing while the change kit is all white with claret accents. Both include a print of the club’s FAI Cup 25th Anniversary logo on their signoff areas.

Galway United kick off their 2016 SE Airtricity League of Ireland Premier Division season at St. Patrick’s Athletic on March 4.
