The current club of Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba, Quebec club Montreal Impact (Impact de Montréal) have released their 2016 adidas home jersey.
Available at World Soccer Shop and Kitbag in the lead up to the March kickoff of the Major League Soccer’s twentieth season, the kit see the Impact return use a blue and black striped look for the home shirt for the first time since becoming an MLS team in 2012. The traditional football shirt design used for Montreal’s 2013 third jersey and proved to be quite popular with the club’s fans.
The Montreal Impact 20i6 adidas home kit uses a new v-neck design from the German sports wear firm. Like most adidas 2016/17 kits, the brand’s three stripes run down the shirt’s flanks instead of its sleeves. Regional ties are represented via the Quebec flag on the back outside collar.
The fleur-de-lys and three other local flowers are printed on the jock tag area in raised silver. “Tous Pour Gagne” (All To Win) is printed in silver on the side of the Impact badge.
The Impact will use their 2015/16 away kit for a second season during their upcoming MLS and Canadian Championship campaigns.
