The Los Angeles Galaxy unveiled their 2016 adidas home jersey on Thursday. The new kit will be worn by the Major League Soccer club starting on February 24th when they meet Mexico’s Santos Laguna in the quarter finals CONCACAF Champions League match at StubHub Center.
Available at the World Soccer Shop and Kitbag MLS stores in the coming weeks, the Los Angeles Galaxy 2016 adidas primary shirt uses the team’s now traditional white base. The sash that has become a fixture of Galaxy kit is present once again. It is made up of bars in the blue and yellow of the team’s new look badge. A star appears above the crest in recognition of the Galaxy’s record five MLS Cup Championships.
“THIS IS LA” is printed on the lower front left of the jersey again this year while “GALAXY” appears on the on a specially designed section of the rear collar. The v-neck and sleeve cuffs of the LA Galaxy’s 2016 home shirt use the blue and yellow of its sash. The adidas stripes on the flash of the kit are dark blue.
The Galaxy currently boast an impressive roster that includes present and former internationals including Steven Gerrard, Ashley Cole (both England), Robbie Keane (Ireland), Giovani dos Santos (Mexico), Nigel de Jong (Netherlands) and Jelle Van Damme (Belgium).
