Manchester United technical partners adidas are continuing their stream of football gear releases based on the club’s proud history.
The latest is the limited edition “The Stretford” trainers named after the legendary Stretford End at the Old Trafford stadium. Only 1,200 pairs of the shoes be go on sale globally. They have a price point of £85 / $131 US.
The shoes celebrate United’s 1968 European Cup (predecessor to the UEFA Champions League) title. On that occasion a blue clad Manchester United team featuring club legends such as Bobby Charlton and George Best defeated Benfica 4-1 at Wembley to claim the first of their now three European crowns.
