Perth Glory FC 2015/16 Macron Home Kit

Australian A-League side Perth Glory Football Club recently unveiled their 2015/16 Macron home kit. The new jersey  celebrates the Glory’s 20th year of existence.

According to Macron Australia: Glory was launched on December 1st, 1995, before entering the National Soccer League competition in 1996-97.

The new home shirt recognises this significant milestone with subtle embossing of the Club’s founding year on the lower back of the strip.

The clean, new-look kit also includes a collar with purple and white lines on the trimming and sleeves, while “Perth Glory FC” is emroided proudly on the back of the neck, above where Kenny Lowe’s men will have their name and number.

Macron has used MPerformance System technology within this year’s fabric: a moisture control system to help players feel cool, dry and comfortable, whilst ensuring long-term durability.

The design was unveiled at Glory’s league launch, which also coincided with the announcement of new Club Captains for both the women’s and men’s W-League and A-League sides, respectively.

Former Hull City and West Ham United player Richard Garcia was chosen to wear the armband for the new campaign, while Matilda and Perth Glory star Samantha Kerr will lead the women’s team, under new coach and Club legend Bobby Despotovski.

Garcia & Kerr are both local WA born and bred players too – filling them with an increased sense of pride to be wearing the shirt and leading out their home-town Club.

Glory will get a chance to wear their new strip when they hold their maiden home game of the new A-League season in little under a month, hosting Wellington Phoenix FC on October 18 at nib Stadium.
