The Australia Wallabies will play their final 2015 Rugby World Cup warm-up match when they meet the USA at Soldier Field in Chicago on Saturday.
The match will be the last in which the IRB’s number two ranked team wears their 2014/15 kit before switching to their 2015 Rugby World Cup home uniform when they kick off their tournament run against Fiji on September 23.
Now on sale at World Rugby Shop, Kitbag Rugby and Lovell Rugby, the Australian RWC 2015 home jersey is in their famous gold with a block of gold stripes on its right shoulder and sleeve. It has a modern collar that includes a small white standing portion towards its back. The Rugby World Cup 2015 logo is embroidered on the right breast area.
Both shirts have the Webb Ellis Cup embroidered on their right sleeve along with the years of Australia’s two Rugby World Cup titles, 1991 and 1999.
The jerseys were developed at Asics labs in Japan and are said to be the strongest and lightest that the Wallabies will ever wear. Asics also says that they are designed to be harder for opposing players to grab on to and have specially designed grip points which will enable players to hold the ball more securely .
