Chivas de Guadalajara 2015/16 adidas Home and Away Jerseys

Resurgemt Mexican giants Club Deportivo Guadalajara unveiled their adidas home and away jerseys for the Liga MX Apertura 2015 and Clausura 2016 seasons at an elaborate event in Mexico City on Tuesday night. Both will be available at World Soccer Shop in the coming weeks.

The Chivas de Guadalajara 2015/16 home shirt is in the traditional red and white stripes of the eleven-time Primera División champions. The sleeve and shoulder areas of the jersey are red along with the kits ribbed crewneck collar. Chivas’ stripes are given a new look for the upcoming season via small diagonal lines that given them a jagged effect. Dark blue shorts and white socks complete the new Chivas home uniform.

Chivas look to their early years for the inspiration behind their 2015/16 adidas away kit. The dark blue jersey has a retro look thanks to its prominent red and white round neck collar and sleeve cuffs.

The shirt uses the Chivas first crest from 1917. The diamond shape of the crest is repeated throughout the body of the jersey. The “Rebaño Sagrado” (Sacred Flock) 15/16 away kit is completed by navy blue shorts and socks.

Chivas kick off their Liga MX Apertura 2o15 season against Veracruz on Friday night.
