West Ham United continues to celebrate their final season at the historic Boleyn Ground with their Umbro 2015/16 away kit.
As with The Hammers’ very popular home shirt released in June, the West Ham 15/16 alternate shirt pays tribute to the cub’s home of 112 years with the text the ‘Boleyn Ground 1904-2016’ embroidered underneath the club badge and on the outside upper back.
The jersey is inspired by the West Ham away kit worn from 1901 to 1903. It was the first to use light blue as West Ham’s first choice away color. The team’s famous claret appears via a chest band that continues onto its sleeves.
A series of claret diagonal stripes run along the upper chest and continues onto the kit’s sleeves. The strip is completed by sky blue shorts and socks. It will make its match debut on July 23rd when West Ham travels to Malta for a UEFA Europa League meeting with Birkirkara FC.
