Inter Milan today unveiled their away kit for their 2015/16 Italian Serie A and Coppa Italia seasons. It will be available at World Soccer Shop, Kitbag, UK Soccer Shop and Subside Sports along with the previously revealed Nerazzurri 15/16 home uniform.
According to Nike: This season Inter Milan will play in a unique away kit that evokes the club’s past triumphs and its close historical bond with the city of Milan.
The 2015-16 away kit is in clean, classic white and sports a modern update on the traditional black and blue horizontal chest band, a recurring feature of Inter Milan away shirts since the Sixties, and notably in 1990-91.
The new away kit celebrates the 25th anniversary of this historic season in which Inter Milan claimed their first UEFA Cup, sparking an unprecedented run of success in the tournament. In the space of seven seasons the club claimed three UEFA Cups, adding the 1993-94 and 1997-98 trophies.
The shirt’s chest band appears to follow Inter Milan tradition, but on close inspection reveals a subtle black and blue tonal print depicting the scales of Il Biscione.Synonymous with Milan since the 13th century, the snake features on the emblems of two of Milan’s ruling families. The icon also appeared on Inter Milan’s 2010/11 away kits.
