The Jamaica Football Federation recently signed a four-year technical sponsorship deal with Romai Sportswear. The partnership will see all of Jamaica’s national football teams in gear from the Dubai-based firm until 2019.
The Jamaica 2015/16 Romai home and away kits (now available at World Soccer Shop and UK Soccer Shop) were unveiled shortly afterwards at a concert featuring dancehall reggae artists Lady Saw, Capleton, Cham and Bounty Killa. Several members of the Jamaican men’s and women’s senior teams were on hand to model the new uniforms.
Both shirts use a crew neck look in the traditional home yellow and away green of the defending Caribbean Cup champions. A zigzag design in the gold, green and black of the Jamaican national flag is used for the jersey’s waistline and sleeve cuffs. It is also featured on the triangular shaped insert at the front of the kits’ collars.
The Reggae Boyz will wear both kits during a busy summer in which they will compete at both the 2015 Copa America (as invited guests) and at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cuo (as Caribbean champions).
