adidas and La Real Federación Española de Fútbol (Spanish Football Federation) have unveiled the home kit that will be worn by Spain at FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015. It is now available at World Soccer Shop.
The Spain 2015/16 adidas women’s uniform includes a shirt, pants and socks are in the famous red of “La Roja” (The Red). Gold is used for accenting throughout the strip and appears in the jersey’s collar, sleeves and waistline via mesh. The shirt’s RFEF crest, adidas shoulder stripes and logo are also in gold. Embossed pinstripes run along the front of the shirt.
adidas says that the red of the new Spanish kit represents the intensity and passion of the team. The gold is meant to represent the many victories that the Spain women’s team have notched on the road to their first ever appearance at the women’s world cup. The team has improved greatly over the past and is now ranked 14th in the world by FIFA.
La Roja players Vero Boquete, Jenni Hermoso, Virginia Torrecilla and Ruth García modeled the Spain 2015 Women’s World Cup kit during its launch event.
