Deportivo Armenio Launch Armenian Genocide 100th Anniversary Jersey

Argentine third division team Club Deportivo Armenio have released a limited edition jersey commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The club founded by members of the Armenian community of Buenos Aires in 1963 worked with technical partner Sport Lyon to design the predominantly black shirt.

The jersey is rich in symbols related to the genocide. These include the purple Forget Me Not flower designed by the Armenian government to mark the anniversary. The text “I REMEMBER AND DEMAND” is printed on the back of the shirt is multiple languages including English, German and Spanish. The colors of the Armenian national flag appear below the Deportivo Armenio badge with a paint effect.

Second division champions (Primera B Nacional) in 1987, Deportivo Armenio are currently in 16th place in the Primera B Metropolitana after 13 matches played in the season.
