The Arsenal FC 2014/15 PUMA home jersey has proven to be one of the top-selling Barclays Premier League kits of the past year. Thanks to the folks at soccerloco we have a World Exclusive up-close look at the Gunners first PUMA kit since their switch from Nike in the off-season.
The Arsenal 2014/15 PUMA home shirt that we’re looking at is the fancentric replica version of the jersey. A player version of the kit is available for roughly twice the price of the replica. It is a formfitting affair designed for professional athletes (similar to compression tops) with built-in PUMA ACTV technology to support players’ muscles during competition. The Arsenal badge and PUMA logos on the authentic version at screen printed to reduce weight. This is one is the main reason that we prefer the replica. Something seems more appealing with embroidered branding and a lenticular crest that is collectible in its own right.
There are a couple of Arsenal-based features that are screen printed on the 14/15 home kit however. They are the “Future, Forever, Victorious” text on the inside neck of the shirt and the swath of Arsenal colors on its outside upper back.
The fit of the Gunners’ latest home jersey is spot on so we recommend purchasing them in your normal shirt size. If you want to emphasize your hard-earned fit body then going a size down will work well with this jersey.
We will point out that the Arsenal red and white on their 2014/15 PUMA primary kit are quite bright (moreso than you’d see even on High Definition video). The white will become more subtle over time as the jersey is washed but we don’t expect it to happen with the red.
