Bhutan 2015/16 Home and Away Kits

Published on

Asian minnows Bhutan unveiled their 2015/16 home and away kit ahead of last week’s kickoff to their 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifying campaign.

The new kits are from what appears to be a local sportswear brand. They are in the home orange and away white that the Bhutan national team has worn since its inception in 1982. Both use the same y-neck design with a large printed dragon (a Bhutanese national symbol) on its right side. The white away uniform was worn during Thursday’s 1-0 win at Sri Lanka. Interestingly, Bhutan is wearing training kits from Brazilian firm Penalty during their practice sessions.

Bhutan is currently ranked 209th in the world by FIFA. They have never qualified for a major international tournament. Their greatest achievement to date is a semi-final appearance in the 2008 South Asian Football Federation Cup.
