Known for drawing the biggest home crowds in Major League Soccer, Seattle Sounders FC unveiled their 2015 home and away kits from adidas at The Ninety, their new store in Pioneer Square, on Thursday evening.
Sounders players Ozzie Alonso, Lamar Neagle, Cristian Roldan and Aaron Kovar were on hand to model the four-time US Open Cup champions’ 2015 uniforms.
The Seattle Sounders 2015 home jersey maintains the Sounders signature Rave Green color with elements that pay tribute to the club’s enthusiastic supporters. The most prominent of these is the text “COME ON SEATTLE” on the inside neck tape of the kit.
The Sounders new away shirt is in what adidas calls Olympic White. It recognizes the Cascace mountain range that’s visible from the team’s CenturyLink Field and indeed much of the Seattle area. The clean design is reminiscent of Sounders years in the NASL and USL when white was their primary kit color .
Both jerseys use a new modern crew neck shirt design from adidas. They will be on sale at World Soccer Shop and Kitbag. The home kit will make its match debut during Saturday’s meeting with the New England Revolution in Week 1 of the 2015 MLS season.
