Southampton FC Returns to adidas Kits for 2015/16 Season
English Premier League surprise team of the season Southampton Football Club will return to wearing adidas kits for the 2015/16 season.
The Saints ended their three-year contract with adidas ahead of the ongoing season because of reported shirt design disagreements and supply difficulties. As a result Southampton are wearing in branded and self-marketed 2014/15 home, away and third kits.
With manager Ronald Koeman’s team now in contention for a UEFA Champions League spot for next season, adidas has addressed Southampton’s and will outfit the club for their next campaign. The season was to be their last with adidas under the terms of their previous contract.
Chief Executive Officer Gareth Rogers commented: “We are very grateful to adidas for the support and understanding they have offered over the past 12 months while we took an enforced hiatus from our affiliation.
“adidas has a global reputation for quality and innovation, making them the perfect partner for the club. We are looking forward to activating our working relationship for the third and final year of our contract.”
