Argentine Primera División early season table toppers and defending champions Club Atlético River Plate today unveiled their home jersey for their 2014/15 domestic and Copa Libertadoes campaigns. It was launched with modeling by veteran striker Fernando Cavenaghi at the club’s museum (Museo River) in Buenos Aires.
The legendary club’s 14/15 home shirt is in their famed white with a red sash on both sides. It features a crewneck in all white and is highlighted by adidas’ stripes running around the lower portions of its sleeves. The inspiration behind the design comes from the 1996/97 River Plate home kit.
The well-remembered jersey was worn by the likes of Pablo Aimar, Julio Cruz and Marcelo Salas during a period in which River won three Argentine league championships and their last Copa Libertadores.
