Manchester United Football Club have officially unveiled their 2014/15 home kit from Nike. It features the logo of new Red Devils shirt sponsor Chevrolet and will make its on the pitch debut on Jul 23rd when the twenty-time English league champions meet the LA Galaxy in a pre-season friendly. The new jersey is available starting today at World Soccer Shop, Subside Sports, UK Soccer Shop and Kitbag.
According to Nike: The new Manchester United home kit for the 2014-15 season proudly embodies the club’s purest and most authentic identity – the red, white and black colors instantly recognized and revered around the world.
This kit features a red shirt, white collar and cuffs with a red-and-black trim. The kit is completed by white shorts and black socks with a red band.
The shirt welcomes the return of the white collar, which for the first time is a ribbed crew-neck design.
The bottom of the collar has a subtle chevron finish to replicate the pattern used on the chest of United shirts as far back as the early 20th century, and again in recent times.
The button hidden in the collar is unique to the shirt — red with a black trim and engraved with the club name.
Inside the back of the neck is a small label with the message: “Youth, Courage, Greatness” to represent the club’s values.
On the back of the shirt below the neck is a black devil from the club crest, and across the back is a series of chevrons in engineered mesh to emphasize the importance of the shape to United.
