Defending French Ligue 1 and Coupe de la Ligue champions Paris Saint-Germain Football Club unveiled their 2014/15 home kit from Nike on Wednesday. The new jersey will be at avialable at the World Soccer Shop, Kitbag and Subside Sports PSG stores.
Nike has the following description of the shirt that will be worn by the likes of Thiago Silva, Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimović next season.
The iconic stripe on the front of the Paris Saint-Germain shirt remains central to the club’s identity, but for this season it is updated with a refined new appearance.
There is now a thin red-and-white stripe running from the collar to the hem with a wider tonal and dark blue stripe in the background.
For the first time, the stripe has a 360-degree appearance and runs down the back of the shirt as well.
The shirt also boasts a crafted V-neck collar and an oversized Paris Saint-German crest on the chest.
This new design captures the high-speed brilliance of the modern Paris Saint-Germain on the pitch, while also showcasing the club’s core values in the stripe’s three colors; elegance (blue), passion (red) and respect (white).
Inside the back of the neck is a white pennant tab with a blue border and the message: “Ici c’est Paris” (Here it’s Paris).
The new home shorts are blue, while the new home socks are also blue with a wide tonal stripe of chevrons on the back.
