Dutch Eredivisie champions for the last four seasons AFC Ajax pranked manager Frank de Boer and players Siem de Jong, Daley Blind and Jasper Cillessen as part of the launch of the club’s 2014/15 adidas home and away kits.
In a now viral YouTube video (see below), a fake adidas representative presented de Boer and the players with a series of outlandish kit designs that were purported to be options for the Ajax 14/15 shirts.
The team’s relatively simple though classy new home jersey and flashy away kit were shown to de Boer and company at the end of the video.
The 2014/15 Ajax Amsterdam home kit is a classic football shirt polo-collared affair with ribbing throughout. While the home jersey is in Ajax’ famed red and white the new away kit uses a two shades of blue separated by a peak shape. Neon yellow accents the alternate jersey via adidas’ branding, the AFC Ajax crest and sponsor logo.
