Spanish La Liga side Valencia Club de Fútbol recently announced a kit deal with adidas after three years with Joma. While Los Che will unveil their 2014/15 home and away kits later this summer, the six-time Primera División winners wore a special edition kit on Wednesday, May 28th, at the LFP World Challenge triangular tournament against Hong Kong Rangers and Villarreal CF.

According to the club’s website the all white shirt inaugurates the agreement between adidas and Valencia CF and is expected to be an instant collector’s item since it will be used only once and is unavailable in stores.

The Valencia 2014 LFP World Challenge kit is inspired by 1979 European Cup Winners Cup uniform worn by the team and is dubbed the ‘Kit Recopa’. It features the Valencia CF badge of the 1970s and 1980s.

In the promotional video that accompanies the Kit Recopa release, Valencia CF legend Juan Sol presented current star Paco Alcácer with the shirt that he wore in the 1979 Cup Winners Cup final against Arsenal FC at Heysel. After the handover, the shirt becomes modernised but maintains its essence: The bat badge which unites all Valencia fans.
