Reigning league champions Cruzeiro have become the latest Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club to release a kit in tribute to the Brazil national football team.
Cruzeiro joins the likes of Palmeiras, Atlético Paranaense, Corinthians, Internacional, Santos, Coritiba and Bahia in celebrating the five-time FIFA World Cup winners courtesy of their 2014 third uniform from Bahia-based brand Olympikus.
The new yellow Cruzeiro “Brasil” 2014 jersey uses a retro style with a blue soft polo collar above a buttonless placket. Its sleeve cuffs are also in blue to match the accompanying shorts. The matching goalkeeper shirt uses the same design in dark blue with yellow accents.
Cruzeiro will debut its 2014 Olympikus third during Saturday’s Serie A meeting with Coritiba at the Mineirão Stadium in Belo Horizonte.
Cruzeiro launched 2014 Olympikus domestic league and cup and Copa Libertadores home and away kits earlier this year. All five of the club’s new jerseys are expected to be available at the Subside Sports Brazilian club store.
