New York Red Bulls 2014 adidas Away Jersey

One of Major League Soccer’s best known teams internationally, the New York Red Bulls, have launched their 2014 adidas away jersey. It is now available at World Soccer Shop.

The new alternate kit to be worn by the likes of Thierry Henry, Tim Cahill, Péguy Luyindula and Bradley Wright-Phillips during the 2014 MLS season is a dark blue affair with gold accents throughout.

The most striking feature of the new shirt is the large “NEW YORK” text on its lower back and front areas. Many an MLS observer has speculated that this may be a reaction to the entry of Manchester City and New York Yankees co-owned New York City FC into MLS next season.

The NY Red Bulls kicks off their 2014 season with a disappointing 4-1 loss at Vancouver on Saturday. They will look to rebound against the Colorado Rapids at Red Bull Arena next weekend.
