Technical sponsors PUMA have unveiled the Ghana 2014 FIFA World Cup home and away kits to be worn by the talent-laden Black Stars in Brazil this summer.
The home shirt features bold African inspired graphic print inserts on the neck and sleeves that represent the pride of Ghana and the national team nickname the Black Stars. The print is created in the national flag colours, with stars and a football field graphic.
PUMA player Asamoah Gyan and Ghana National Team Captain said, “The team has been waiting a long time since the 2010 World Cup in which we reached the quarter finals. Being so close to becoming the first African team to reach the semi-final was a great triumph but painful at the same time and are really motivated to come back and achieve an even better result.
The new kit design from PUMA reflects the pride and passion of our nation and we’ll be leaving for Brasil with full confidence that we can make our country proud.”
Ghana is pooled with Germany, Portugal and the United States in Group G of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. The group is regarded by many as the most difficult of the competition.
