Costa Rica qualified directly for the 2014 FIFA World Cup after missing out back in 2010 when they fell 1-2 on aggregate to Uruguay in an interzone playoff series.
As Los Ticos look to advance past the group stage of the tournament for the first time since 1990, the Costa Rica 2014 World Cup home and away kits from technical sponsor Lotto Sport were launched earlier this week. Both will be available at Kitbag, World Soccer Shop, Tienda Fútbol Mundial and Subside Sports.
The new playing strips are in Costa Rica’s traditional home red with blue and white accents and away white with red and blue accents. Given that Costa Rica is Lotto’s only sponsored team in the 2014 World Cup, both jerseys use brand new designs from the Italian firm.
Costa Rica debuted their 2014-15 Lotto home kit during Wednesday night’s 2-1 international friendly win over Paraguay in San Jose.
The Costa Ricans are pooled with England, Italy and South America champions Uruguay in Group D of Brasil 2014.
