Eight-time Brazilian champions  Palmeiras are back in the  Campeonato Brasileiro Série A for the 2014 season after spending last year in Série B. The club will also celebrate its 100 Anniversary in September.

Ahead of the upcoming domestic and Campeonato Paulista (São Paulo State Championship), Palmeiras has released their 2014 home kit from technical sponsor adidas (available soon at Subside Sports).

The Palmeiras Centennial home jersey is in the famous green of the club nicknamed Verdão (Big Green) with gold accents that include adidas’ trademark shoulder stripes. Palmeiras 100th Anniversary logo is heat stamped on the front of the shirt between the club badge and adidas logo. It includes the text “Campeão do Século” (Champion of the Century) and “100 Anos” (100 Years).

The Palmeiras 2014 home kit is matched with the club’s usual white shorts and green socks. The socks feature the year of the team’s founding (1914) as Palestra Italia and the current year printed on them.

An arc in the colors of the Italian nation flag appears on the outside upper back of the kit in recognition of the fact that the club was founded by Italian immigrants to Brazil.

Palmeiras will wear their 100th Anniversary home uniform for the first time on January 30th against Penapolense at the Pacaembu in Campeonato Paulista action.
