Club Atlético Independiente 2014 PUMA Limited Edition Kit

Seven-time Copa Libertadores and sixteen-time Argentine Primera champions Club Atlético Independiente have released a 2014 Limited Edition kit from technical sponsor PUMA.

The bright yellow jersey accompanied by blue shorts is inspired by a kit worn by CAI during their tour of Indonesia and Hong Kong from February 4th to the 16th, 1975. Yellow was worn my the club for several matches in which their usual red kits clashed with those of local teams.

Upon Independiente’s return to Argentina, the yellow shirt was used for a number of Metropolitano 1975 matches and for the away leg of the Copa Libertadores final in  Santiago, Chile agains  Unión Española. The 3-1 win in Chile earned CAI their sixth South American championship.

The CA Independiente 2014 PUMA Limited Edition Kit will make its match debut on January 16th against Newell’s Old Boys in the pre-season Copa Ciudad de Mar del Plata Pirelli 2014.
