Italian club ACF Fiorentina is now in fifth place in Serie A following Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Udinense. During La Viola’s domestic and UEFA Europa League, Fiorentina has been using their 2013/14 home kit from Spanish firm Joma as their primary jersey.
The shirt is the latest addition to the Football Fashion kit collection. Here is our World Exclusive up-close look at the shirt being worn by the likes of Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez this season. It is now available at World Soccer Shop, Kitbag and Subside Sports.
The Fiorentina 2013/14 Joma home kit is the club’s famed purple with subtle white accents throughout. Its design is a modern interpretation of the classic collar football shirt. The collar used for the new kit is minimal but manages to convey a look that definitely is one of a kit belonging to The Beautiful Game. If you like to display swagger on the pitch then you can pop them up.
The Fiorentina 13/14 home shirt’s neck area is completed with a black insert on its v-neck with a series of three stiches in the green, white and red of the Italian national flag.
The text “FIORENTINA” is printed on the rear upper back area of the shirt white the inside rear neck area and the front and back inner waistline feature taping on which the Fiorentina badge and text is printed. The text in question reads “Maglia viola lotta con vigore, per esser di Firenze vanto e gloria” (Purple shirt fight with force, to be the pride and glory of Florence). Fiorentina’s ties to its home city are recognized by a metallic print of the fleur-de-lis of the Florence coat of arms on each shoulder of the shirt.
Technical sponsor Joma has included its logo in a very subtle manner this season via the firm’s stylized “J” embroidered on each sleeve, a Joma print on the front right breast and an official product patched on the right front corner of the kit.
While many soccer jerseys nowadays come in slim fits, the Fiorentina 2013/14 Joma home shirt is a bit looser fitting like a normal polo shirt. If you are seeking a slim fit, consider going a size down.
Finally, Fiorentina’s 13/14 Joma home jersey uses a very lightweight polyester material that we found to absorb and dissipate sweat considerable well.
