River Plate 2013/14 adidas Away Kit

Club Atlético River Plate have unveiled their adidas away kit for the rest of the 2013/14 Argentine Primera División season. The new jersey will make its match debut during Sunday’s league clash with Belgrano de Córdoba at the Monumental de Núñez stadium.

Los Millonarios (The Millionaires) 13/14 away kit has been launched using the theme “el manto tiene historia” (the kit has history). According to a press release from adidas Argentina the shirt is inspired on the 1965 River Plate away kit.

The 1965 kit was based on a set of shirts presented to River by French club Stade de Reims during a 1962 tour of Europe. At the time, the red and white-clad Reims was one of France’s and Europe’s most successful teams.

The River Plate 2013/14 away jersey will be available at World Soccer Shop, Subside Sports and The Onionbag.
