Flamengo 2013 adidas Home and Away Kits

Popular Brazilian club Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (usually called Flamengo) have unveiled their 2013 adidas home and away kits (available soon at the Subside Sports Brazilian club store).

The new Rubro-Negro (The Scarlet-Black) jerseys were launched on late on Thursday evening in Rio de Janeiro at the Lagoa night club in front of over 500 fans and members of the media.

Current Flamengo players Além de Gabriel, Felipe, Caio Rangel, Marcelo Moreno, Hernane and Renato Abreu were on hand to model team’s new uniforms.

The 2013 adidas Flamengo home shirt has thick black and red stripes, as well as the team’s crest embroidered on one of the black stripes. The away jersey is reminiscent of the one worn when Flamengo won the world title against Liverpool in 1981.

The design is predominantly white, with details in black and red on the shoulders. Both uniforms sport a detail on the back of the jersey that pays homage to the chorus of the club’s anthem: “once Flamengo, always Flamengo.”

Flamengo will wear its 2013 home kit for the first time during Sunday’s Campeonato Brasileiro Série A season opener against Neymar and Santos at the new Mané Garrincha stadium.
