Palmeiras adidas 2013 Home and Away Kits

1999 Copa Libertadores and eight-time Brazilian champions Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras (usually called Palmeiras) have launched their adidas 2013 retro-styled home and away kits (available soon at Subside Sports).

The all green 2013 Palmeiras home kit is patterned after the shirt worn by the Alviverde (Green and White) when the club won the 1973 Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A title. The use of the 1973 design is meant to celebrate the 40th anniversary of what was Palmeiras’ sixth league title.

The all white Palmerias 2013 away jersey uses a v-neck design with the colors of the Italian national flag on its back outer collar in recognition of the clubs roots in and ties to the Brazilian-Italian community.

Relegated from the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A at the end of the 2012 season, Palmeiras will be Serie B’s most popular team during the upcoming Brazilian season with an estimated 17 million supporters.
