Umbro Japan has launched the first new soccer boot from the UK-headquartered firm since the release of the Speciali 3 in early January 2012.
The new boot in question is the Umbro Agileed and appears to be a Japan-only release at this point. Based on information from Umbro Japan, the Agileed is a lighter weight boot that focuses on giving its wearers increased agility on the pitch.
The Agileed features Umbro’s well-known A-Frame midfoot cradle, a new stud configuration intended to support sharp movements, an anti-slip insole and a new low profile heel counter. Available in standard and SL (Super Light) versions, it will be worn by Yokohama F Marinos’Yusuke Higa and Shimizu S-Pulse’s Yutaka Yoshida during upcoming J. League matches.
