Santos FC Nike 2012 Away Kit

2011 Copa Libertadores champions and FIFA World Club Cup finalists Santos FC have unveiled their much-anticipated Nike 2012 away kit (now available Subside Sports).

The eight time Campeonato Brasileiro Série A champions switched technical sponsors from Nike subsidiary Umbro to the American sportswear giant earlier this year. The club has since unveiled their 2012  home and third kits.

The Santos FC Nike 2012 away kit was launched on Sunday ahead of the club’s 2-0 league win over Vasco da Gama at the Estádio Urbano Caldeira

The Santos 2012 away jersey uses the club’s traditional black and white away stripes. It pays homage to the 1962 Santos team that won the Copa Libertadores and Intercontinental Cup. The titles were Santos’ first South American and world club championships.

As with the current Santos home and third jerseys, the new shirt features the text “Menino da Vila desde 1912″ (“Boy of the Village since 1912″) inscribed inside the shirt’s inner rear neckline. The text “1912-2012″ is printed above the Santos badge in recognition of the team’s centenary.
