River Plate adidas 2012/13 Home and Away Jerseys

Promoted back to the Argentine Primera División after playing in the country’s second tier for the first time in its storied 111 year history last season, Club Atlético River Plate (usually referred to as River Plate) is among South America’s best supported and most successful soccer clubs.

Nicknamed Los Millonarios (The Millionaires), River has thirty-four Primera División and two Copa Libertadores titles to its credit and has featured a hostof Argentine internationals over the years including Gabriel Batistuta, Mario Kempes and Hernán Crespo. Former France and Juventus striker David Trezeguet is the best known player currently on River’s books.

In ninth place after five matches player in the Torneo Incial 2012, River Plate recently launched their 2012/13 adidas home and away jerseys (available now at World Soccer Shop).

The crew neck white home and polo-collared red away shirt both feature River’s traditional red sash. The appearance of the tonal sash on the away kit is the first in recent memory.
