Peru Umbro 2012/13 Home Jersey

The Peru national soccer team is currently ranked 47th in the world by FIFA and seeking qualification  for its first World Cup since 1982.

La Blanquirroja (The Red and White) finished in an impressive third place in last year’s Copa América and but has struggled thus far in the South American qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup.

Following the release of the team’s new away shirt in February, the Peru Umbro 2012/13 home kit was unveiled on Friday. It will be worn for the first time during Peru’s World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Argentina in September and is now available at World Soccer Shop.

Reminiscent of the Manchester City 12/13 away shirt in basic design, the Peru 2012/13 home jersey features a  classic mitred V neck along with the team’s well-known red sash.

Launched using an Incan warrior theme, the kit also features the text “”Inti pa sinchi” (Warriors of the Sun) on its inner neck line and a representation on Incan sun god Inti on its outside upper back area.
