Werder Bremen Nike 2012/13 Home and Away Kits

Based in the northwestern city of Bremen, Werder Bremen is one of the German Bundesliga’s most popular teams. However, the four-time league champions have been trophyless since their 2009 DFB Pokal title and finished the 2011/12 season in 9th position.

With the new Bundesliga season approaching, Werder Bremen has officially launched its Nike 2012/13 home and away kits with modeling from players Nils Assani Lukimya, Raphael Wolf and Richard Strebinger. Both will be available at the Nike Store.

The green home jersey features the ends of Werder’s famed diamond on it front along with diamond shapes on its sleeves. The away kit uses black and grey hooped color scheme similar to that of the Atlético de Madrid 12/13 away shirt.

Both jerseys feature the year of Werder Bremen’s founding, 1899, printed on their inner neck areas along with the club’s initials “SVB” on their rear upper backs.  They will see action over the next few weeks when Werder meets the likes of Aberdeen and Aston Villa in pre-season friendlies.
