Usually referred to as FC Lorient or Les Merlus, FC Lorient Bretagne Sud is a French soccer club based in Lorient, Brittany. The team currently campaigns in the top-tier of French football — Ligue 1. Well-known FC Lorient alumni include Seydou Keita of FC Barcelona, Kévin Gameiro of Paris Saint-Germain and Ivory Coast international Bakari Koné.
On Sunday, FC Lorient debuted its 2012/13 Macron home kit. It was worn during the club’s final match for the season – a 1-2 home loss to Paris Saint-Germain. Despite the loss, Lorient finished one spot above the 11/12 Ligue 1 relegation zone and has secured top-flight football for a seventh consecutive season.
